Fonts

Both typefaces are served locally from our own server (no Google Fonts CDN) and are licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1:

  • Cormorant Garamond (Catharsis Fonts), SIL OFL 1.1
  • Inter (Rasmus Andersson), SIL OFL 1.1

Software / open source

When a page is opened, it contains no third-party program code. The one exception is the ProvenExpert review seal: it loads a script from that provider only after you actively click to load it. In addition, only when you use the search, the pagefind search script runs in your browser (MIT, Copyright (c) Pagefind, license text). The search index and script are hosted on this server, with no connection to third parties.

The following software is used to build the pages and on the server, not in the browser (format: package (license)):

  • astro (MIT), with @astrojs/node, @astrojs/sitemap and @astrojs/rss (MIT each)
  • typescript (Apache-2.0) and @astrojs/check (MIT) for type checking
  • sharp with libvips (Apache-2.0 and LGPL-3.0-or-later) for image optimisation
  • lightningcss (MPL-2.0) for CSS processing
  • nodemailer (MIT-0) for sending contact enquiries on the server
  • pagefind (MIT) to build the search index

Listed are the direct dependencies plus those indirect ones whose licence goes beyond mere attribution. The full dependency tree comprises 413 packages, predominantly under MIT; it can be traced in the project's package-lock.json and is made available on request. Reviewed on 30 September 2026.

Brand logos and graphics are our own design. The blog images are served exclusively from our own server (no hotlinking).

All blog article images are machine-generated graphics. They were produced locally with the FLUX.2 [klein] 4B model by Black Forest Labs, released under the Apache License 2.0. That licence expressly permits commercial use, the generated images are not subject to it, and no attribution is required. The motifs are stylised, flat illustrations, such as a shield, a pair of scales or a laptop, and show no people. They are recognisably drawn and do not give the impression of being real photographs. A deep fake within the meaning of Art. 3(60) of the EU AI Act requires content that resembles existing objects and would falsely appear to be authentic; the latter does not apply here. No disclosure duty under Art. 50(4) therefore arises.
